**WARNING** Fairfield Lawn and Landscaping (owner Drake Fairfield) of Carlock, IL writes bad checks. We paid Fairfield Lawn and Landscaping in full for work in our yard, they have cashed the checks, but they wrote a bad check to Roanoke Concrete Products company for purchase of concrete on our property. Drake's check bounced, not once, but twice, and now the concrete company is preparing to place a lien on our home as Drake Fairfield is still faulty in paying the bill. (The lien legally falls onto us because the product was used in our home and cannot be returned.) Beyond the fact that he doesn't pay his debts, we were unsatisfied with the lack of communication and the sloppy work on the finishes to our project. He finally came to fix items after our Better Business Bureau complaint but still owes money. Please, share this with your friends or anyone who is considering a Landscaping company so they aren't in the same peril we are in. Also, another lesson-learned...pay your product supplier directly. Never go through your contractor.
