Our son is 13, and has been stuttering since he was 4. Over the past 9 years we have been to numerous private therapists and public school therapists, who were able to teach him "tools" to use. Mr. Tim is the first one to not only give our son successful methods but, also the technique to implement them. We aren't finished with the sessions and we've seen such improvement. We are absolutely amazed at the increase in our son's confidence and willingness to speak for himself. He will now place his own food orders and speak on the phone (two things he would not do!) As a home schooled child, there were some areas where his school work suffered. For example, he was apprehensive about reading aloud. There has been such a turn around in this area alone. Overall, we are seeing an improvement in his willingness to engage in his schoolwork. As a former stutterer himself, Tim is a real life example of his ability to help stutterers. He understands the emotions that are such a part of the situation and is helping eliminate the negative emotions that are tied so closely to our son. We highly recommend Tim Mackesey.

Words cannot describe how wonderful Mr. Tim was to our family. We started seeing Tim when our son was 2.5 years old. We had noticed he'd recently started to stutter quite severely so took him in to Tim for an evaluation (every single speech therapist we spoke to in Atlanta recommended him for stuttering). Tim is fabulous with children, and makes the sessions fun. The parents join every session so that it is team work. It takes practice and you have to put in the time with the home exercises but it absolutely works. We saw Tim for a few months and less than one year later, his stutter is completely undetectable. Tim helped us through a difficult and stressful time. He not only has the best techniques, he is also encouraging to not only the child but the parents as well. Cannot say enough great things about Tim.
