Monar installed a new 5 ton AC and air handler in Oct 2019. 30 days later I opened the air handler closet door to change the filter and saw a filter cover lying on the floor. I changed the filter and noticed the cover had a broken tab. Figured the installer pushed too hard to make it fit. I called the owner for a replacement and after reluctance and many questions he finally ordered one. Two years later I get my first clogged drain pipe which should stop the AC with two float switches and it did not. Flooded my upstairs closet and garage below which caused LED lights to drop from ceiling to floor due to wet drywall in ceiling. I should have been on top of flushing the line and was not. Regardless the new unit failed miserably. I will cover the repairs out of pocket but would think something like this would work. I called the customer service agent, Allie, and explained the issue and she said she would talk to service manager. Never heard back. Called again spoke with service manager and he said he would talk to owner Naraine about covering the call since it wasn't working. I received a call right back stating Arnold (Naraine) said he shows no record of the AC being maintained every six months and would not cover it. This company is the last company I would pay for an ongoing maintenance contract. After spending $5600, whenever I asked for something it was questioned repeatedly or the fact I didn't buy a maintenance contract means this owner made a poor decision not to support a paying customer. I called my realtor who referred this company to let him know of my unpleasant experience. No service after the sale. How do you stay in business like that? I will use All Year Cooling as owner Tom Smith has replaced AC units at my rental properties. Tom, unlike Naraine, knows the value of taking care of the customer and making them a customer for life.
