-Paid $245 for a sewer lateral inspection on a home I am purchasing.
-H&H tech inspects and says pipe is "video inspected 4 inch pipe from cleanout in basement to about 45 ft. pipe is not in good shape. believe pipe is orangeberg and pipe is collapsing in on itself could not get past 45 ft and also broke camera"
-Seller has inspection done by different company. X-Rooter inspects. Pipe is clay tile and in serviceable condition. No collapse.
-H&H tech returns. Inspects again, admits his mistake. "Pipe is clay tile. It does have sediment on bottom of the pipe, it has a gritty feel to it. Could only get camera 45 feet because clay tile is offset enough that camera can't jump up over it."
-H&H then bills me ANOTHER $245.00 for coming back.
-The fact is, a complete inspection hasn't even been done once. X-Rooter (another sewer lateral inspection company) had no problems identifying the pipe type and getting to the street. H&H could not do either of these things and yet has billed me twice for doing essentially nothing.
-I demanded the second bill be voided and received no response.
