From the initial phone conversation, to the estimate, to the response to large cracks in the finished product, dealing with CurbMaster ND has been nothing but frustrating. Craig, an owner, takes no responsibility for his work or that of his crew. Everything is someone--or something--else’s fault, including the customer. When I increased the scope of my project, I wasn’t provided their volume discount because “an estimate is an estimate.” Yet, after CurbMaster erred in estimating linear footage of the job, I was expected to pay the more than $250 increase in costs; and after less than a year, large cracks – along with countless smaller ones – are “typical” and “look really good,” according to Craig. If you decide to do business with CurbMaster, when you’re advised the curbing will crack, take that to mean it will crack a lot! After admitting some of the cracks don’t reflect well on his business, Craig’s offer to “work with me” in replacing sections of the curbing would cost me as much as the original installation. I did my homework and was told by neighbors CurbMaster is the best in town. If that’s the case, I advise going with a different product. You really don’t want the ongoing frustration. Also note that Valley Landscaping and CurbMaster are owned/operated by the same people.
