Our vacation in the Amanas was ruined by this "Bed and Breakfast" It is a nightmare of places to stay. Walking up the front step, one step was missing. The man had his tools and saws all over the hallway, and the back porch and front yard. There was no place to sit on the porch or the pool side patio. The pool was moldy and green. There were tools all over, but nothing repaired since months before. After midnight, he decided to saw some wood in the basement and hammer up shelves in the next room. I asked him many times to stop. No good. The kitchen - horrible. There were dishes stacked sky high everywhere, and again moldy. The coffee pot was black, inside and out. The inside of the refridgerator crammed with bits and pieces of leftovers out to dry. Nothing dusted. They had owned this place over a year and stacks of junk everywhere. Our door had no hinge to shut it. Ouside was a hasp and inside was a hook. No other lock. If I could scream out to anyone thinking of staying here - move on to Middle Amana or Amana. Run from this place fast. It used to be Rawson's B & B. It was pretty nice back then.
