DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS MAN or anyone associated with him - Bruce Sawyers, owner of Carolina Renovators, Inc. Please take notice - if you need renovations done to your home or business, DO NOT use Carolina Renovators, Inc. (CRI) located in the Triad area. This company is not licensed. They do not use licensed contractors to complete their work (although they bid the work at the cost of a licensed contractor). Owner, Bruce Sawyers is unprofessional & under-handed & is currently under investigation by the NC board of contractors, facing possible jail time for his violations. I speak on behalf of my mother, who moved to NC and bought her house with great ideas for renovation. She spent a sizable amount of her savings to turn her residence into her dream home. Thanks to Mr. Sawyers, her dream turned into a nightmare and she ended up tapping into unplanned funds because she was forced to hire another contractor to complete the work when the city slapped a no occupancy sign on her home due to unsafe workmanship & code violations. She paid twice the cost of the original contract in new contractor fees, materials & fines as a result of the work done by CRI & Bruce Sawyers. In addition, she was unable to live in her home for 3+ months! None of the work done by CRI/Bruce Sawyers was compliant with NC code. She is not the only victim of Carolina Renovators, Inc. He has other lawsuits being levied against him from other victims. He has no integrity at all and cannot be trusted.
