very confidant, and claimed to have worked with marble tile often in his experience. We used 18" carrera marble tile for the floor. Less than 6 months after laying the tile, the tiles began to crack. After trying to work with Greg, he told us that he was not going to warrant the work and he disappeared. We are now forced to take him to court. Don't use Greg. He is more concerned with cranking out tile jobs and collecting his money than giving each project the thought and consideration they deserve.

My wife and I hired Zimm's (Greg Hanson) to install a marble floor in our master bathroom remodel during the spring of 2012. The job was completed in April, 2012 and by the summer of that same year (only a few months later) the floor was showing signs of stress cracking. When contacted Zimm's about the problem, Greg proposed solution was to cover over the stress lines and hide the problem. I didn't, and still don’t, agree that masking the problem as an acceptable solution. Since then, I had several other contractors and a structural company look at the work in an effort to uncover what went wrong and to offer any additional solutions to correcting the problem. Each one of them independently concluded that as a result of improper installation, the tiles were not properly supported with the under laminate materials and therefore showing white stress lines, which will ultimately lead to extensive cracking throughout the tile. More specifically, 7 out of the 14 install Hardie Backer instructions were not followed: Greg has since replied back that he will not warranty his work and that I will be out of the $3,900 in paid and the $4,000 in materials i used. I would not recommend dealing with Zimm's / Greg Hanson.
