CCOM provides therapy for the face, jaw, lips & tongue muscles to establish correct rest & functional patterns which impact growth & development. Founded in 2009, Cherry Creek works with all ages to provide therapy for the muscles of the face, lips, tongue & the jaw to establish correct rest & functional patterns which impact growth & development. Orofacial Myology therapy corrects abnormal swallowing (tongue thrust) & mouth breathing patterns, treats non-nutritive sucking habits such as thumb/pacifier & eliminates TMD muscular dysfunction, open mouth rest posture, chronic nail biting, lip licking, cheek biting, drooling & 'messy' eating patterns. The overall goal of Orofacial Myology is to assist in the correction and elimination of these behaviors.
