I left a valuable rifle with Mr. Richardson, owner, a Krag Jorgensen cavalry carbine dated 1887, on consignment , the agreed terms which were $4000, anything above that to be retained by Mr Richardson. I told him I'd paid $5000 for he rifle, and that it was very scarce. Upon visiting the shop two weeks later, I was told he'd sold the rifle for$2600. I have contacted the Kimble County Justice of the Peace, Judge Cantrell, and the issue as of this date, 17 April is still ongoing.
