A.L.A.Y.A. MINISTRIES – A.L.A.Y.A. Ministries is founded to help youth and their families develop leadership skills through the provision of services and programs including but not limited to mentoring programs, personal growth classes and workshop. A.L.A.Y.A will also host motivational seminars and other related activities in the future. These services will be provided at little or no cost to those in need and seeking services. A.L.A.Y.A Ministries is dedicated first and foremost to help individuals unlock their leadership potential and inspire people to see who they are and what they are capable of becoming. A.L.A.Y.A. Ministries will be dedicated to its goals and to the fulfillment of its vision statement. Our programs which offer services to individuals include: G.O.O.D Girls-(Go over Obstacles Daily) A program formulated to develop the personal and spiritual growth for young ladies. This program is implemented to strengthen, motivate and encourage young ladies to achieve their goals and full potential through character development and community outreach. Young ladies range in age from 12 – 17 during out of school time. BROTHERS - A uniquely designed awareness mentoring program for men that focuses on enhancing the man of the past, to the present and the future. Then in turn reach out to our young men. Activities have included character building, community outreach, how to effectively become a role model in the community, and enrichment activities. BROTHERS not only involve young men of the community, but fathers as well. H.E.L.P- The purpose of the program is to offer assistance when needed. We also talk about building self esteem and displaying positive character traits. Jewels shining- is a support group that offers fellowship, strengthens families, builds sisterhood, and holds individuals accountable for living to their greatest potential. This program is intended for women of the community. The purpose of this activity is to offer emotional support in different settings, parent education, social activities, and to exchange different points of views. Through these support groups, the needs of the women will also be assessed, allowing us to offer other programs and services which could support their families, including, but not limited to financial resources, job seeking assistance, and leisure learning.
