Billy has built my past, probably three, computer systems. So going to him again when it was time to upgrade to match my current equipment needs was a âÂÂno-brain erâÂÂ.
I depend on my computer for my livelihood, editing images from my studio, so keeping up with the most current hardware and software is important. When I go to him, I have a simple request...build me a new âÂÂgodâ computer..I dont know what that entails, but I want the fastest, strongest most up to date system to handle high resolution images- and he builds it.
Once again, I asked him to do this.
There was a problem this time however....the brand new computer crashed intermittently (the worst kind of problem) every time I ran a series of images through it in my editing program...I called him immediately. For five days, he went through every piece of new hardware in the system...testing it, replacing it with known good hardware from his own system, being patient while I re-ran images through the system. And it would crash intermittently still.....
You may think at this point, that I would be mad at Billy...but he did what NO big box store bought computer place would do....he kept on until finding the exact nature of the problem. He never blamed my software, he never told me there was nothing else he could do, he never told me to take it up with the manufacturer of any component, he never turned me away or got impatient with my problem.....instead, his diligence found the problem....a bad co
