Brought my barreled action to Craig to drill and tap 3 holes for scope mount base on a bolt action. He drilled them off-center in 3 attempts and welded them up in between attempts which destroyed the blue job on the barrel and action. He welded it up with stainless rod so it could not be re-blued. He ground off part of the rear receiver ring and had to build-up weld to repair it. I believe the hardness of the receiver is now compromised because of all the welding. He decided to cerakote it for me because he wrecked the bluing, but he spray painted it bronze instead of sending it out to be black cerakoted by a professional. He has totally destroyed my custom made barreled action. He has had it for 3 years now for an hour and a half drill & tap job. I feel actually feel sad and sorry for Craig, because he really thinks he is skilled as a gunsmith. If you want to go through a nightmare, take your gun to Craig Hardy.

Mr. Hardy worked on a personal project for me and understood the sentimental value of my destroyed gun. His sympathy and understanding were greatly appreciated. He had ideas that worked for me and sounded like the best options for my problem.

I brought my Walther p -22 in for repairs (a faulty spring) on 2/19/16 (WITHOUT ANY AMMUNITION OBVIOUSLY) Finally after numerous calls, Craig always blamed it on the manufacturer for the delay in receiving the correct part. (Imagine that always blaming the "other guy") Long story short I came home to find 2 LIVE ROUNDS OF.22 LONG RIFLE AMMUNITION IN THE MAGAZINE. Lucky for me and everyone else. THAT I,FOR ONE WAS SMART ENOUGH TO HAVE CAUGHT THE FACT THAT "THE THE GUNSMITH CRAIG HARDY) left them in the magazine. Craig, Do I owe you for those 2 rounds of .22 ammunition??? ( Thankfully unfired ) Never to do business with you again. James
