Candi talked my husband and I into getting 2 male Dobermans from the same litter, something that every other person would tell you not to do because the males will constantly fight to try to be the alpha but Candi was only interested in making money so she told us it would be fine. We ended up having to take one of them to a rescue because after 12 months of them fighting, trying to kill each other we realized they could not live together. That was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. The dobie that I still have is 2 years old now and just had to have ACL surgery because he has a degenerative disease from bad breeding. When we went to pick our puppies up we were not allowed to see either of the parents, Candi said the mom would be upset because we were taking her puppies and the dad supposedly wasn't there. I strongly encourage anyone looking for a Doberman not to go to Candi and hopefully she will stop breeding because she is not doing it the right way. There is also a Doberman rescue in Lake Placid called Doberman Rescue of Lake Placid and they have wonderful Dobermans! I highly recommend them!

I feel your pain Sarah. My husband and I purchased a male doberman from this breeder on 6/24/2011. He was a very happy and healthy member of our family until he turned 5 years old. He got a cataract in his right eye and then started limping on his left leg. After numerous veterinary visits, x-rays, and tests, we were advised that he had severe hip dysplasia and, more importantly, BONE CANCER. He had 2 - 3 months to live. I started him on a raw food diet where he regained 14 pounds but eventually the pain became so severe that we had to put him down on Sept. 7, 2016. We are devastated and feel that this breeder is not adhering to the breed's health standards. She is only interested in the money. DO NOT GET A PUPPY FROM THIS BREEDER!
