One of the injuries completely tore the ligament in his left knee and he had to have reconstructive ACL surgery in order to function "normally". He followed the usual regimen of physical therapy and rehabilitation for two months before being given the "green light", by Dr. Ellis, to resume his active life style. As a Judo Black Belt martial artist, this was great news, or so he thought. He found he was not able to fully participate in Judo as he once had. For Bill, that was not an option.
