ABOUT JAY HOROWITZ
Founder and Owner of Horowitz and Associates Insurance
I established the company back in 1987. Graduating New England Aeronautical Institute and having a bachelor's degree in Aviation Administration from Boston University, I began working for Tishman Realty in New York City for a period of time before moving to St. Louis, Missouri. I then took a position with the company known as Pennsylvania Life Insurance Company selling accident and life insurance door-to-door to farmers in rural Missouri.
Married in 1985, I moved to Southeast Missouri and took a position with Associated Doctors Insurance Company where I learned to sell Medicare supplements and long-term care. Shortly thereafter, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and became disabled. Being unable to see clients on a regular basis, I established Horowitz and Associates Insurance. Finding the climate in the midwest to be very difficult, we moved to Florida.

The show, focusing on consumer care, was known as "Insurance Beat" and was promoted by the Florida Department of Insurance.
While in Florida, I also worked with the Department of Insurance with agent investigations. I was one of the top brokers at that time for a company known as American Medical Security, with which I had served on the President's Advisory Council for several years. I was also a Million-Dollar Roundtable member for seven years.

We still have our agency now here in the midwest, and we are still known for excellent customer service. We pride ourselves on good customer care. As you will see when you do business with us we work for you. As CEO and founder of this company I feel as though having a medical condition myself helps me understand the importance of having good coverage, and that's why I will always say, "we work for you."
When you become a client of ours, we will see to it that your premiums stay affordable. We will keep you abreast of the changes in this industry with our regular newsletters. My personal assistant, Lori Brunts, who has excellent dedication and who also suffers from a severe medical condition, has the same concerns for our clients as I do. You will
