Directional Drilling Desoto Drilling Inc., is a family owned directional boring company with 20+ years experience in the underground utility industry. Service areas include the entire State of Florida. Desoto Drilling offers directional boring services, also commonly called horizontal directional drilling or HDD, which is a steerable trenchless method of installing underground pipes, conduits and cables in a shallow arc along a prescribed bore path by using a surface-launched drilling rig, with minimal impact on the surrounding area. Directional boring is used when trenching or excavating is not practical. It can be utilized in a variety of soil conditions and various locations including under roads, landscapes and river crossings.
