Douglas Electrical Contractor responded and turned up promptly to assess the problem, even though the hall was in darkness. Their diagnosis was that the low energy bulbs were faulty and after replacing one with a new bulb, my hall lights are behaving as they should. I will not hesitate to call on them again.
