Prolink Signing Service compromised my identity and my wife's identity by sending ALL our escrow papers in the clear via email.
Adam Babish at ProLink Signing Service Inc. began by sending ALL our escrow papers via email to notary, Jing Chen. In the email, he says that the PDF documents were password protected with our Zip code as the passphrase, however only ONE OF SEVEN documents were actually password protected and FIVE OF SEVEN contained personal information that can be used for identity fraud. That being said, adding an inherently WEAK and easy to crack password to a PDF is totally unacceptable method of exchanging sensitive information.
To make matters worse, notary Jing Chen sent additional copy of our escrow papers to me in the clear via email. This is appalling unprofessional behavior by both Prolink Signing Service and Notary Chen. Do yourself a favor and protect your identity by using another notary service.
