PROS: He was higher than average but he was available now and did the job quickly.
CONS: Not Honest. Price went up from the original bid AFTER the job was done. And the price kept going up due to his mistakes.
- He billed me: $700 for separating topsoil (he said I'll take care of it, apparently that means I'll bill you),
- Snuck extra square footage of excavation after the job was done. (he didn't know where but said I had to pay it)
- I had over $400 of rock piled in the corner for backfill and he destroyed it. I had to pay to haul it away
- He charged me $400 to drive his excavator from one side of my property to the other.
- I had to pay an extra 1,235 for cement due to excessive excavation
When I confronted him about these he asked if he could call my foundation guy and I said no. He called them anyways and said I don't pay my bills and to steer away from me. Reality is I paid Butterfield 3 weeks earlier than due. I'll return the favor, steer clear if you can.
