Red Flag! DO NOT USE! We bought a recently retired ambulance from a firehouse and unfortunately ran into a hiccup where our driver all of a sudden lost momentum and acceleration, was able to pull off to the side of the road, and the engine died and he was un-able to restart the vehicle. JE-CO was the responding roadside assistance company and they hooked up their computer and determined it must be a high pressure oil pump. They did no checks of any other components, or fuel systems and just went off of what the computer said. They then said they would take care of everything and opted to tow it to their facility instead of the repair shop we had in mind. Trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, we allowed them to replace what they said was wrong, costing about $4.5K, then they said it still wasn't working so they needed to replace the IDM, which was going to cost us another $4.5k, when asked for the part numbers so we could do some research, they refused saying we don't give out our part numbers. They decided to try to "re-flash" the IDM, and was able to get it working but then they told me they had to repair/replace fuel injector #1. We asked them to do a full vehicle inspection to make sure the vehicle was road worthy and we were not going to have the same problem.
After numerous repairs, we were told it was ready to be picked up, we drove the vehicle to car toys for some audio installation, and it broke down there with the same issues. JE-CO sent out a roads
