LePort offers high-quality, authentic Montessori programs for infants through preschool children in a beautiful and nurturing environment. Our programs are carefully designed to provide each child with individualized guidance through every stage of development. In our Infant Program, babies get to explore their surroundings in peaceful and secure “nests”. Teachers speak in gentle tones and each child is cared for with affection and respect. For children ages 18 months to 3 years, our Toddler Program focuses on language development, confident independence, and social interactions. Our toddlers begin to build their critical thinking skills through our authentic Montessori learning materials and the freedom to try and practice as many times as they want. At about age 3, children join our Primary Program, which is a three year, carefully sequenced, activity-based curriculum that covers a wide range of academic subjects and practical life skills. Using individualized learning materials, our students are well prepped for elementary school with most of them reading books, writing paragraphs, and doing arithmetic into the thousands. Our practical life skills cover independent self-care, organizational skills, and social grace and courtesy. As an authentic Montessori program, we give our students the three hours of necessary uninterrupted work time each day to fully explore and engage in learning activities of their choice - without the pressure of rushing. This helps each child master his or her own techniques, which leads to a deep knowledge base and personal confidence. Hence, ours is a child-led, proven educational method where students naturally become internally motivated to learn more.
