Having an Estate Sale for a loved one can be very stressful. We know, we have done it ourselves. Letting go of family treasures can be difficult, especially those sentimental items. But we cannot keep it all can we? Not everyone stays in tune with market values, that is why it is best to let professionals handle it for you. That is where we come in. We are here to help you through the transition, hopefully making it easier for you. Because we have personal experience with sales for our own families, we have compassion and understanding. We wait to set up until the family members have had the opportunity to remove wanted items. Sometimes they want something small and sentimental and do not wish to chose something expensive or large and may ask for our opinion. We encourage them to chose based on sentiment, perhaps a gift they gave them, or a wonderful story attached to an item they loved that you remember and can cherish as well. During our sorting and going through things we always make sure our client is aware of any personal and sentimental items such as photos etc., that they may have missed, that we will hold aside for them in a box for them to go through. Sometimes they are able to have some family time as they discover together what is in the box, and often it is a wonderful time they have with memories, surprises and laughs and perhaps some tears, but are always grateful for “the box”. And at times it’s merely a box of paperwork of which may contain a document they have been searching for which works out well! It is so rewarding when you can see your client having a good time while going through a stressful transition. We try to take some of that burden away. We stay in touch with many of our clients even after the sale, as we become very good friends and they love us like family!
