There were no added charges though I’d called Safe & Key Store at around 1 am on their helpline 908-287-5085 and asked them to help me regain access to my apartment. Most locksmiths in Garwood add a surcharge and charge double the fee if hired after regular business hours. So, when Jack handed me a bill of around $46, it came as a pleasant surprise. Hire them if you’re looking for affordability and quality at the same time.

Safe & Key Store was great - they arrived in 15 mins and had my door open in another 10. I was quoted $99 on the phone and charged $99, which was perfectly fine by me. These guys are great - they're going by Safe & Key Store. I needed a lock swapped out, I put in a request for a quote online and got a pretty quick response, John pinged me right away and scheduled a time to get the work done. When they ran late, I was updated periodically via their blackberry. I wish UPS and cable were so diligent. They analyzed my old lock and door, made recommendations and gave me an option. The work is solid and great service.

A lot of people had access to my keys and I had to rekey the locks frequently. A technician from a local store suggested that I buy a DIY rekeyable lock to save money – and it was the biggest mistake I made. My house was broken into soon thereafter and I lost a lot of valuables. I hired Safe & Key Store to consult. According to Joe, such rekeyable locks don’t stand a chance against burglars. His suggestion: get a keypad lock, and share the code with those you need to provide access to. Wish I had hired them earlier and received this excellent advice! He was very knowledgeable, giving us an overview on what the existing lock was like, etc. He even recommended a cheaper service that what I initially called him for after looking at our lock.
