The technician arrived within 20 minutes and was very friendly and helpful. There were some adjustments to be made on the fly, but Kevin didn’t charge us anything extra for additional labor. The new locks and fixed door knobs work perfectly and better than they ever did – and it’s all thanks to Kevin. I lockout of my house Lock & Key Shop was there on time and was able to open the door in about ten minutes without having to use a drill. His fee was the flat rate of $79 as quoted on the phone. Given the prompt and professional service, I was impressed and will likely use them again to fix a deadbolt lock that needs to be remounted.

We managed to get ourselves locked out of an interior door in our house, and we called Lock & Key Shop of course, based on the reviews online. The tech quickly gave us a call back from our message and gave us a reasonable price which was way cheaper than some other places we called before him. I don't anticipate needing a locksmith again (fingers crossed), but if I do, I will definitely be giving Lock & Key Shop a call again.

I needed a top lock with a plate cover and not really knowing what locksmiths do besides let you in when you're locked out I didn't realize at first that I needed to call one. When i check online its help me to find Lock & Key Shop and thank goodness. Scott set up an appointment for a few days later, called the day of to let me know how his schedule was going, showed up early with warning, and did an all around awesome job. Afterward he explained to me what he'd done and why and made sure everything was working for me before he left. The flat fee meant no surprises. These guys are the best.

Mike was amazing. We were locked out of our apartment in Salt Lake City, UT on a Friday night at midnight, with landlord and super out of town and unavailable to help us. Mike came within an hour, and unlocked the door in less than fifteen minutes or more precisely, drilled through the heavy metal door and removed the malfunctioning lock. there's obviously nothing cool about locking yourself out (or ""in"" in my case) of your apartment, but after hearing so many people sing Dave praises, i was secretly excited to have to call on him to help me out. i was attempting to leave my apartment on saturday morning only to discover that my doorknob wouldn't turn and i was locked inside of my apartment. neat. No one wants to be in the situation where they need to call a locksmith, especially in Salt Lake City, UT , Lock & Key Shop are the guys to call. I've had a lockout and a broken lock at 2 different locations, and both times Lock & Key Shop was there within a half hour. The last time was a lock out, and the owner was there in like 15-20 minutes. We have a really tough lock to pick, one of those ones where you need to send the keys out to be machined.... He worked at picking this lock for 20 minutes, every which way, it's a pick proof lock. Luckily, as we were talking he opened the door and we were in! No damage to my expensive lock, no drill outs, no up charge.. I was telling him how good it is to have reliable guys like him around to do this, it's not a regular thing to have a guy with morals in the lock business. I gave him a tip, usually you feel so screwed after all of the up charging (which he didn't do at all) that's the last thing you're thinking about... Normally with other guys that i have used in the past they tinker around a bit and then drill out, that's cost of the drill out plus the new lock plus a hefty up charge on all the locks they provide. If you're locked out or need a change of locks, they are the best. Just getting to this review now, it's been a few months but the guy really deserves it, I'd give 5 stars. Keep up the fine service.

Wow, just wow. Had to update this - a couple nights after Mike fixed the cylinder lock, I had trouble getting in (turns out my door and inside lock needed to be replaced). I called Mike to see if he could assist. I was eventually able to get myself in, but Mike still insisted on coming by to see if there was any further adjustments he could make. He eventually replaced the entire inside lock with a spare (which he didnt' have to do), made some adjustments to how the lock hits my door frame and didn't charge me anything for his time in doing this. Let me stress that Mike had already fixed the cylinder lock the first time; this extra work was his awesome and generous service in full effect. I cannot remember the last time I had service this great. Lock & Key Shop is the BEST Locksmith Company in Salt Lake City, UT!!!!
