Ok, just adding to the mountain of good reviews here... The lock on the door to my apartment was busted. So I tried to save some pennies by posting an ad on Craig's list a method that has worked really well for me to hire my cleaning lady and various handymen for simple jobs. Anyway, after sorting through like 50 replies to the ad, which quoted me prices varying form $100 to $300, I chose some guy who said that he installs locks in hotels for a living for $100 who of course turned out to not know what he was doing. He did put in a good effort, staying wiht the job for like 5 hours! But the door knob was basically hanging off the door the next day after using it twice. Anyway, a week later after calling a bunch of legit locksmiths who wanted $80 to even look at the lock, and who wouldn't commit to a firm price, I called Expert Locksmith Shop who fixed the mess that was made for $80 in like a half hour.

When I called Friday to schedule an appointment for my lock to be switched out (not an emergency), the guy on the phone was absurdly nice--like, apologized-for-putting-me-on-hold nice. He offered me an appointment slot for 9:30-10 on Saturday, and then apologized that he couldn't be more specific than that! Have these guys heard of Time Warner and their four-hour windows? Scott arrived right on time at 9:45 and got to work. He explained how the lock worked, told us everything we needed to know about ordering new keys, and even tightened the doorknob (free of charge) since it was loose. From buzzing our door to swiping the credit card on his Square reader, he was here less than 30 minutes. Working with Expert Locksmith Shop was absolutely painless. The property was changing hands the following morning, and I’d completely forgotten about rekeying the locks. They claimed to provide 24-hour service and I could only hope that they lived up to all their claims. I was not disappointed. Despite the short notice, they arrived onsite within 20 minutes with all the parts and tools needed. 2 hours later, they got the job done and the new keys made. Completely bowled away by their service!!! Do I recommend them? Yes, if you live in Desoto, give them a try – you won’t regret it!!!
