I called a couple of locksmiths in Cambridge, MA 02139, and was quoted anywhere between $200 and $300 for the job. The best Locksmith service experience I've had in years. Fast, friendly, knowledgeable, honest -- really, really good people. The lock on the door at our nursery school broke this afternoon. When I called, Danny was in the neighborhood by great chance and came right over. He had the parts he needed in his truck, and within the hour had fixed our busted door, explaining the repairs and what we need to do to maintain them. The best part: when I gave him his tip, he said that he'd put it towards money City Locksmith Shop were collecting for puppies through an animal rescue service. Puppies, y'all. This is a really great business to support, especially when you're in a locksmith pinch!

When I first saw the millions of 5-star reviews I thought "no way". But..WAY. John was friendly and funny on the phone making the appointment, showed up exactly when he said he would, did an awesome job in no time at all, and it cost exactly what he quoted me over the phone. John is a really cool guy, explained what he was doing, and put me totally at ease. Whether you are changing the locks on a new apartment (as I was) or are drunkenly locked out at 2am (he made it clear he handles those situations too!) call City Locksmith Shop and you will be glad you did!

I found City Locksmith Shop via Online and I figured the multiple five-star reviews had to be accurate (which was certainly the case). Both of our locks needed some work, and we were in contact with Jacob several times while deciding on various options. Jacob is super-friendly and he arrived very promptly on both occasions (he had to check out the problem initially). He's also very accommodating in terms of a timeframe for appointments.

Nobody's perfect, but the key is to acknowledge mistakes and do something to make it right. There was a mix-up in the day of my appointment for a new lock, so Danny came that evening instead of the morning and gave me 50% off. He also told me the lock mechanism itself was perfectly solid and that rather than an extra lock, I only needed a new cylinder for security. That goes to show how honest he is because it meant it was cheaper for me and less money in his pockets. To add to all that, Danny is a super nice guy and was even great with my barky dog. In fact, when I asked if he accepted tips, he told me he donates them to Animal Haven. Awesome! You've really got to be good to mix-up the appointment and yet still get 5 stars. City Locksmith Shop is that good! Completely worth it, and I'm guessing that the mix-up was an exception to the rule. Now I've got a fancy pick-resistant lock, more sense of security, and one of the most pleasant experiences with a Cambridge, MA company ever. I can imagine in a lockout situation they would also add a sense of relief to a highly stressful situation. Highly, highly recommended! City Locksmith Shop is the company to call to.

These guys are awesome, efficient, super nice and affordable Locksmith Company. My brother and I locked the key in our car driving through Cambridge, MA , I called these guys and the problem was fixed within 20 minutes.

Another 5 star review for these guys... locked ourselves out of a friend's apartment in Cambridge, MA that we were staying at. Luckily with Online on my smartphone I was able to see what consistently good service these guys provide and gave them a call. Dave came along within an hour (only reason it took a while was due to the bad weather), and had us inside within 5 mins. The locks on the door seemed quite stubborn but Dave seemed quite the expert!
