Unbelievable! I got a new transponder key made in less than 100 bucks! From the dealer to other automotive locksmiths in Chevy Chase, MD, the quotes I received varied from $300 - $600. Wish I’d come across this incredible team of locksmiths earlier! Honest, friendly, professional and super affordable, I don’t think you can find any firm better than General Locksmith Store. Quality carries an expensive price tag – says who? When I hired General Locksmith Store based on everything I’ve read up on the web about them, I expected them to hand me a heavy bill after the work was done, but I couldn’t be more wrong! A new transponder key and a replacement of the lock on the car trunk came at a nominal price that left me too stunned for words. Every other place in Chevy Chase, MD 20815 I’d made enquiries with quoted prices that were three times higher than what General Locksmith Store charged me. You guys are incredible! If you’re low on cash and still need quality work, I will highly recommend them for the job.

Fantastic Locksmith service. We needed to rekey our locks after moving. Apparently hardware stores will do this - if you bring the locks in! It was never made clear to me how that's supposed to work - one guy actually said, "Uh, maybe someone stands by the door at home." So anyway, I asked one store if they could refer a company who does onsite service. They did, and I got a quote for about $350. General Locksmith Store - who I found on here - was able to do it for half that. They were helpful, patient, and clear. Paul was the guy I arranged things with, and James actually did the work that day. It was simple, easy, quick, and affordable.

Mike was very pleasant, on time, and got the job done in about 15 minutes! i couldn't recomend these guys enough!!! I moved in to a walkup from a doorman elevator buildling, and i needed the cylinder of my top lock changed, i opted for the high security lock (I wasn't pressure at all to spend the extra money on one of these) and i'm happy i did! Mike did a great job and even gave us a discount on it! hopefully i wont ever get locked out, but if i do, or need anything from a locksmith, i'll be sure to call General Locksmith Store !

I locked my car key in my trunk last night and since I don't have a spare, I needed a locksmith to help me out. First thing in the morning, I called General Locksmith Store and the woman on the phone told me it would be 45 minutes to an hour until the guy would show up. He was at my apartment building within 40 minutes. Paul is the guy who came out and helped me and he was very polite. He is also the owner. We went down to my car and it took him about 30 seconds to open my car door so I could pop the trunk and get my key. He even unloaded all the things in my trunk for me and found the key using his flashlight. The total charge was only $89 even. What a steal! Hopefully this never happens to me again but if it does, I'll definitely call General Locksmith Store ! :)

These guys were very nice. They were only 10 minutes late but gave us a huge discount. Good work, nice and professional, they also did extra odd jobs around the apartment. Will definitely use them again General Locksmith Store.

General Locksmith Store were so great with my finicky front door lock. Paul was on the phone for at least 30 min asking me questions and getting me to try a bunch of different things in order to avoid a service call. Mike was very prompt, efficient, and courteous. Cost was very reasonable. I highly, highly recommend them!

I called General Locksmith Store about a problem I was having with two locks in my home. Jerry returned my call quickly, was here within an hour, and had my problem solved the same afternoon, all for an extremely reasonable fee. I highly recommend General Locksmith Store !

A hectic day at work later, I found myself confronting a stubborn lock that refused to unlock. The years of persistent usage had finally started to show. The worst part was that it was now half past ten and any chances of seeking help from a locksmith were slim.
