The tech that arrive from Golden Locksmith Services was friendly, professional and super fast. He was on time and came prepared with 2 different types of locks for me to choose based on our needs and budget. He answered all my questions and finished installing a deadbolt lock in less than 15 minutes. He even asked for a dust pan and broom to clean up after the job. I've used Golden Locksmith Services twice now. Once to add a deadbolt to my front door and then yesterday to add a lock in a closet door. Both times he quoted me a price on the phone and stuck to it on site. No extra charges or attempts to add things. Both times there were issues with the instal (very old building) but he stuck to his quote and was quick, tidy and friendly. It seems like the city is filled with swindlers in the locksmith dept. Golden Locksmith Services is for sure the exception. It's not cheap but i prefer to have an honest price up front than a lowball estimate that ends up much more because it was just a ploy to show up and add charges. You feel good about spending money with Golden Locksmith Services , they do a great job fast and efficiently.

Leave it to me to be a drunkass and lose my keys one month into moving into my new apartment after having lived in doorman buildings with extra keys for the past 8 years... Finally decided I needed to get a new lock installed, and called this place on a late Saturday afternoon. When I told him I'd like him to come "as soon as possible" he said he would be able to come the next morning since I'm on the UWS...fine with me. About an hour and a half later he called again saying that he had a recommendation for a place closer to me that could come right away if I would like, since it sounded "urgent". Now THAT is amazing customer service. Todd installed my lock within 20 minutes and I will never use anyone else. Super nice, legit (i.e. non shady), and professional. Gorge was great! - very quick and responsive (I called him at 7:25pm while he was waiting for another client to show up and he got to my place around 8pm) - very thorough (went out again to get another piece to fit around my lock so that it actually fit in with the door) - and just did a great job all around (considering that my lock had been crazily installed previously, resulting in the lock actually poking out of the door, and actually having broken my key IN the lock) Too bad this is one of those businesses that you'd hope to never use again! (but if I were ever drunkenly locked out I'd definitely call Golden Locksmith Services )

LOVE Golden Locksmith Services ! Our bottom lock - that had been installed less than a year ago by another guy - had been sticking for months now and I figured we should get that fixed. Spotted a Living Social deal and snapped it up quick. Very easy to schedule, though they seem busy! When Edwardo arrived he was very efficient and professional. Was able to explain what was going on and what went wrong. (The previous locksmith had given us an old gnarly lock!) Replaced it, charged what was on the website, and he was off!
