Very professional and affordable service! We were new to Newark and didn’t know any locksmiths around. Hired Metro Locksmith Services after a neighbor recommended them strongly and passed on their number 510-731-0936. Arrived on time, finished the work quickly and cleaned up any mess made thereafter. Charges were fairly reasonable, despite the fact that I’d had about two locks changed and four locks rekeyed. Won’t hesitate to hire again…

These guys are great - they're going by Metro Locksmith Services. I needed a lock swapped out, I put in a request for a quote online and got a pretty quick response, John pinged me right away and scheduled a time to get the work done. When they ran late, I was updated periodically via their blackberry. I wish UPS and cable were so diligent. They analyzed my old lock and door, made recommendations and gave me an option. The work is solid and great service.

Wow, just wow. Had to update this - a couple nights after Mike fixed the cylinder lock, I had trouble getting in (turns out my door and inside lock needed to be replaced). I called Mike to see if he could assist. I was eventually able to get myself in, but Mike still insisted on coming by to see if…

Wow, just wow. Had to update this - a couple nights after Mike fixed the cylinder lock, I had trouble getting in (turns out my door and inside lock needed to be replaced). I called Mike to see if he could assist. I was eventually able to get myself in, but Mike still insisted on coming by to see if there was any further adjustments he could make. He eventually replaced the entire inside lock with a spare (which he didnt' have to do), made some adjustments to how the lock hits my door frame and didn't charge me anything for his time in doing this. Let me stress that Mike had already fixed the cylinder lock the first time; this extra work was his awesome and generous service in full effect. I cannot remember the last time I had service this great. Metro Locksmith Services is the BEST!!!!

I’ve always believed in giving credit where it’s due and hence am taking this time out to write a review for Metro Locksmith Services! Best service ever – and the prices are just even better! I’m not from Newark, CA and when I locked my keys in the car, I had no idea whom to call or what to do. After a quick online search I found great reviews for Metro Locksmith Services and called up 510-731-0936. After a brief conversation with the rep, I waited for a mere ten minutes for the technician to arrive. Mark was a complete professional and fun person to talk to! He unlocked my car in seconds and retrieved the keys… Thank you Mark for helping me out in a tough situation! Hopefully, I won’t end up doing the same again, but if I ever need a locksmith again, it’s always gonna be Mark and his team from Metro Locksmith Services!!!

After reading all the 5 star reviews online I figured I would give these guys a call but I was STILL skeptical because the company seemed too good to be true. Well... yelpers had it right all along. Gorge called me the morning after I wrote in on the website late the night before. Since my problem wasn't dire (I just had crappy locks) he arranged to come the next day and he was super professional, super personable and very straightforward. He looked at the locks, listened to the problems I was having, suggested a solution with the prices I already knew from the website and in 20 minutes I had an awesome new lock and doorknob installed by someone I felt cared about doing a good job. Gorge even told my boyfriend what kind of maintenance could be needed in the future to make sure the doorknob continues to work properly. I wish all repairs could be this easy and not sketchy. If you will need a Locksmith in Newark, CA CALL THEM Metro Locksmith Services know what they doing!!!!

I just moved to a new place and I noticed that previous tenant had been coming back to get his mail. So I figured why not change the mailbox lock and also get the locks to my door re-keyed. The mailbox lock was easy to swap out by myself. But for the re-keying I needed a pro. I checked Online and the only one I found around me with reputable ratings was Metro Locksmith Services. They're based in Newark, CA. I called in the morning while waiting for cable guy (who was late as expected) and sure enough they had availability for late afternoon and gave me a fixed price for the job. Dave said he could be there around 5:30 or 6. Fine by me. I get a call from Dave at 4:30 saying he can make it even earlier. Great!!! He shows up at 4:45. I moved in to a walkup from a doorman elevator buildling, and i needed the cylinder of my top lock changed, i opted for the high security lock (I wasn't pressure at all to spend the extra money on one of these) and i'm happy i did! Mike did a great job and even gave us a discount on it! hopefully i wont ever get locked out, but if i do, or need anything from a locksmith, i'll be sure to call Metro Locksmith Services at 510-731-0936 !!!
