I own and operate 21st Century Computers and we used to do cell phone repair. This guy is either a crook or doesn't know what he's doing. He also could care less if he makes customers happy or not. Avoid him and save yourself some grief. I took my wife's iPhone to him to get the screen replaced. He did the repair quickly but charged more than he quoted and lost the buttons to the case. I was willing to overlook that but then we found the internal ear speaker no longer worked. Any iPhone repair tech knows It's easy to stress the cables or damage a component when doing an iPhone repair, especially if you try to do it quickly. However, a reputable repair shop will correct their mistakes. I immediately told him about the problem and this guy first suggested we just use the phone only on speaker. I thought we was joking but he was serious. He then said we should just get a new phone. I explained the phone was working fine with the cracked screen but the ear speaker quit working when he replaced the screen. He said he did not know that it worked before and if I wanted it fixed, I'd have to pay him another $40. I told him I was not lying about the speaker working and that it just didn't make sense for me not tell him about that problem when I asked him to repair the phone. He then acted as if he was going to fix it but he put through a hassle and made me wait for a couple of hours and he then said he needed $40 to fix it. I showed him a Google search that clearly showed the internal speaker would stop working following an iPhone screen replacement if the cable was stressed and speaker components could easily be damaged. He wasn't fazed. I explained that I owned a computer repair company who used to do cell phone repairs and asked if $40 was really worth having a dissatisfied customer and getting a negative review and also losing out on future referrals from my company. He said he didn't care. The bottom line is, this guy might fix your phone and you might not have any issues, but if you do, he does not stand behind his work and does not care if you satisfied or not. BTW, I've always received excellent service from Batteries Plus and if you are looking to get your phone repaired, I recommend them.
