The carpenters house is one of the original mill houses in the area. We welcome you to stay in our guesthouse while you enjoy the town. Vernonia, Oregon is only an hour from the city of Portland and 45 minutes from the pacific coast; It’s a great place to get away! This historic little town is nestled in the pacific coast range. There are bike trails, places to hunt and fish, and festivals throughout the year. We invite you to come stay at The Carpenter’s House while you enjoy the many local attractions like stub Stewart State Park, golf, and the Banks-Vernonia linear trail which is a 21 mile paved trail that follows the historic rail line. There are also restaurants, shops, and art galleries. The Vernonia Mill Pond is a fun place to fish and has a walking path around it.
