We are a locally-owned, independent pharmacy with national buying power and friendly hometown service! Steelville Drug originally opened over 110 years ago on Main Street in downtown Steelville, and has been locally owned and operated ever since. In 1984, John and Tommie Fester purchased the drugstore, and operated at its downtown location until 1988, when the pharmacy moved to their present space in order to have an appropriate parking area. In 2014, Steelville Drug was purchased by Sandy Mitchell, a local pharmacist, and owner of Medley Pharmacy, (including Sinks Pharmacy, Medley Pharmacy, and Towne Pharmacy locations). We are a family of pharmacies with a business philosophy to deliver quality healthcare to patients in a friendly, professional manner. Steelville drug has remained a cornerstone of the community, evolving into a healthcare destination for the Steelville and surrounding communities with up-to-date modern conveniences, including: free local delivery or mailing of prescriptions, online and mobile app prescription refills, medication compounding, a medication adherence program, specialty medications, Medicare Part D counseling, text and email alerts when prescriptions are ready, and a new drive-thru.
