Per proposal, he stated that he would be able to place hardwood in the steps and match color to existing hardwood in the foyer area that the steps exited to. First, he did not show up the day he stated he would be there. After completing the initial portion of the job, he removed all the equipment from the home. He did not return phone calls for two days. He finally answered from a different phone number he argues that he has no obligation to finish the job. He also stated that he had "bigger jobs" and that he would not be coming back. He said that we were unreasonable to be able to match the new hardwood to the existing. He screamed at me for five minutes before hanging up on n when I stated that he should not have agreed to a job that he knew (a) he would not be able to match (b) not complete because he had "more expensive jobs" to complete, we would not have used him. We now have to find a new contractor to complete the job. I would not recommend this company for any work to your home, unless you want an uncompleted job.This is what we are left with after he ripped the carpet out. This is a model home and now we have to search for someone willing to fix his mess. This has now delayed our moving into the home as we have 3 small children who cant have this unsafe stairway near them. Now he will not return calls and will not return our garage door opener so we are having to go through legal means to be made whole and get our garage door opener back.
