Cremation Services of Metro East, LLC and Schildknecht Funeral Home is still family owned and operated. Not all firms can say this. We understand that you only have one opportunity to celebrate and recognize the life of your loved one. We also feel we have only one chance to perform our work sensitively and correctly. Since 1949, Schildknecht Funeral Home has been adhering to the highest standards of service. Noting the increase in area families choosing cremation over ground burial of the remains, Cremation Services of Metro East, LLC, a subsidiary of Schildknecht Funeral Home, came into being in October of 2008. Having our own on site crematory has allowed us the needed flexibility to better serve our families and also has given our families the peace of mind knowing that their loved ones are always in the care of our concerned and compassionate staff.
