By partnering with professional basketball legend, Shaquille O'Neal, it has been able to develop commercial and residential real estate in Newark and other New Jersey cities. In 2012, the partnership made possible a renovation project worth $10 million: The old theater located on Springfield Avenue became CityPlex12 Newark. The following year, Boraie Development began an ambitious project - a $60 million rental complex, One Rector Street, that upon completion, will be the first new housing tower in downtown Newark in half a century.
