At Signal 88 of Bradenton, we believe that it's impossible to put a price tag on safety and peace of mind. Signal 88 is re-engineering the security industry by providing new solutions to the private security sector. In 2003, Shea Degan and his wife, Janet, founded a local security company, Signal 88 Security, in Omaha, NE. Shea worked as Deputy Sheriff for the Douglas County Sheriff's Office in the Road Patrol Division and K9 Interdiction Unit. Off duty, Shea approached several property owners and offered consulting on measures they could take to safeguard their properties. Soon, Shea hired fellow off-duty officers to help meet the rising demand for security service. Clients began to request a lower cost service while others requested more hours. With the creation of the Community Based Security Division, Signal 88 revolutionized the standards for professionalism in the security industry.
