He has worked as a claims consultant for over 20 years. SCD's clients include corporations, public entities, insurance companies, third party administrators, and risk pools. It focuses on helping its clients evaluate, develop, and maintain their claims programs to provide claims management services that conform to leading industry practices with the goal to reduce claims costs and loss adjustment expenses. SCD's services include, but are not limited to: - Claims auditing (workers' compensation, liability, property, athletic injury programs) - TPA selection, and selection of other claims-related vendors such as medical bill review firms, medical management firms, and others (RFP development, assistance in the selection process, implementation as needed) - Expert testimony regarding the appropriateness, adequacy, and timeliness of claims management, reserving, reporting to excess carriers, and other critical components of claims management - Reserve reviews to assess the timing and reasonableness of case reserves.
