Brenda’s Jewelry Box was officially established April 30th, 2015; which also happens to be the owners birthday…although she was born “some” years earlier. Brenda Wilson, owner and jewelry designer, was born in San Diego, Ca and is happily married, and they have 2 wonderful kids. She has been a stay at home mom since her son was born in late 2011. But before that, she mainly did office and administrative work. But a stay at home mom sounded so much better than working for someone else, which then...

Brenda’s Jewelry Box was officially established April 30th, 2015; which also happens to be the owners birthday…although she was born “some” years earlier. Brenda Wilson, owner and jewelry designer, was born in San Diego, Ca and is happily married, and they have 2 wonderful kids. She has been a stay at home mom since her son was born in late 2011. But before that, she mainly did office and administrative work. But a stay at home mom sounded so much better than working for someone else, which then gave her some free time between the kids and house work. She started doing some crafts, mostly scrapbooking and a bit of sewing at first. But she remembered as a teenager, her mom making jewelry and selling it at craft and street fairs. So she thought of giving jewelry making a try, and at first, it was a great hobby, and the jewelry made great gifts; but there had to be a way to make money with it. However, things got put on hold when a family issue came up in late 2013, which uprooted Brenda and her family about an hour north of San Diego, where she began caring for her grandparents in their time of need. Brenda continued to make jewelry in her free time, still as a hobby, with intentions of one day taking it further. And then when her grandma’s nurse came by one morning, she saw some of Brenda’s work, and asked if she would make her a necklace for her work badge; which Brenda had done and ready for her the next day. This was great motivation to help move her towards her goal of somehow making jewelry making her business. Although she had her hands full, between her son and caring for her grandparents, she also found out that she was pregnant with their daughter; so with everything else going on, she had little time to focus on her goal, but made progress, even if it weren’t as fast as she was hoping. Then, after almost a year of caring for her grandparents, and then having their daughter, Brenda and her family got back to their normal lives once again. Now, with a little more free time, she began working towards her goal; making Brenda’s Jewelry Box a legitimate business. And with months of hard work, and the encouragement and support of her amazing husband, and her close friends and family, as of April 30, 2015, she finally achieved her goal, and Brenda’s Jewelry Box was born.
