I needed spare keys and I sought out the cheapest option – the local hardware store. They seemed to work fine at first, but 3 months down the line, one of the keys broke in the lock. It came as quite a shocker! The pieces were firmly lodged inside the lock, no other spare would work on it and I was locked out of my own apartment. Thankfully, Logan Locksmith Shop came to my rescue. The broken key pieces were extracted, the lock fixed and I had a new set of keys made.
Gary assured me that the keys wouldn’t break off like the cheap ones I got made, but would last me years. And sure enough, I could feel the difference, in the workmanship, the quality, and the material. I’m never going to a hardware store again! It was well past midnight, I’d just returned from a party and was fumbling for my keys, but couldn’t find them anywhere. I didn’t have a spare, nor was I willing to break down my door. During my first 4 months of living in St Louis, MO , I found myself locked out of my railroad apartment more times than not. When calling a locksmith for rescue is as commonplace as ordering a cup of coffee, the realization does not take long: this city is crawling with locksmiths who prey on the desperation inherent to being locked out. Take it from me- keyless at 2am on the street corner in freezing cold weather is tough ground for bargaining. Mike at Logan Locksmith Shop gets it. When regaling him with horror stories of my locksmiths past, he shook his head and said "that just ain't right". He seemed like a genuine guy who actually cares about fixing the problem and keeping people safe without taking advantage of the dire situation. I found Logan Locksmith Shop after moving into a new place and struggling with the stickiest, moodiest lock that oftentimes refused to let me in at all. Mike accessed the situation quickly, actually explained to me what the problem was, and fixed the lock perfectly without shrinking my piggy bank!
I don't usually write reviews online, but I was moved to do so because I know all too well that a good locksmith is hard to find in St Louis, MO. Mike can handle even the most persnickety of locks, but more importantly he operates an ethical business and offers reasonable flat rates and prompt arrival time.
