Provider of Accounting Services in Tennessee With headquarters in Knoxville, Tennessee, Tarwater and Company is a comprehensive accounting firm that serves local and national clients through a range of services concerning real estate and affordable housing. Tarwater and Company focuses on multi-family housing needs, such as section 8 housing, low-income tax credits, and HUD financing. The company’s real estate services are tailored to help clients address the challenges and complexities associated with today’s fluctuating economy and subsequent changes in tax laws and interest rates. Real estate professionals employed by the firm offer assistance to companies in the real estate industry in areas that include strategic planning, tax compliance, and profit improvement. Additionally, the company provides affordable housing services that range from assistance with the tax exempt bond application process to allocation analyses of IRS code 704 and 752. In order to improve efficiency and reduce the firm’s environmental footprint, Tarwater launched a paperless workflow initiative. The initiative relies on enhanced workflow software and is designed to increase the firm’s productivity while passing on acquired benefits to clients. Tarwater and Company is a member of the American Institute of Public Accountants and the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants.
