I first called City Locksmith Shop when I accidentally locked myself out of the apartment last weekend. The service was swift, and the prices affordable. The technician who arrived, Ed, made some suggestions on improving the home security for free and didn’t pressurize me to use his services again. Happy with their service, I called them up again on 510-771-0352 of my own accord for an upgrade. The technicians were patient with my incessant inquiries and thoroughly explained what lacked and what could be done to fix it. The reasonable prices were an added plus to the excellent service. You should definitely try them out. Easily the best in Oakland , CA!!

Without at doubt 5 STARS. I wish I could give them 100! I own a hair salon in Oakland , CA and needed our lock for our front door changed. I e-mailed them in the morning, they gave me quick reply. Gorge asked for pictures and sent them as requested. He came at 4pm as said, and changed our lock in 10 minutes. Great price, great service, and simply just a great guy. It was bound to happen. Four days into my brand new apartment and I get locked out when I'm letting the IKEA delivery guy into my building. Though I'm glad I chose to wear shoes, I had nothing besides (thankfully) my cell phone in tow so the first thing I did was call City Locksmith Shop. We had met before and I'd heard great things but he truly is a miracle worker. Despite the short notice and his busy work schedule, he made time for me and showed up thirty minutes later at my door. It took him about 10 seconds to get into my apartment. Aside from my concern over how easy it was for him to break in, I was incredibly grateful. Service with a smile and efficient work. Now, let's just hope he doesn't change careers and go criminal -- that dude has skills when it comes to getting through locked doors!

I called City Locksmith Shop based on the reviews as well and they were great. The service was fast and the locksmith even gave me a small discount because I had multiple locks to change.

Can’t recommend City Locksmith Shop highly enough! We hired them to install new locks in the home we’d just moved into. Danny was experienced, knowledgeable and patient. He took extra time to ensure that we understood all the options available and helped us find the right solution. Once the installation was done, there was also a follow up to make sure that there were no issues. All in all, excellent service. The Oakland community is lucky to have such talented men! Wow, just wow. Had to update this - a couple nights after Mike fixed the cylinder lock, I had trouble getting in (turns out my door and inside lock needed to be replaced). I called Mike to see if he could assist. I was eventually able to get myself in, but Mike still insisted on coming by to see if there was any further adjustments he could make. He eventually replaced the entire inside lock with a spare (which he didnt' have to do), made some adjustments to how the lock hits my door frame and didn't charge me anything for his time in doing this. Let me stress that Mike had already fixed the cylinder lock the first time; this extra work was his awesome and generous service in full effect. I cannot remember the last time I had service this great. City Locksmith Shop is the BEST Locksmith Company in Oakland , CA!!!!

Ben is quick and professional. Doesn't ask any extra questions or pry, which made me feel comfortable. This is really how you want a locksmith securing your home to act, isn't it? Total opposite of the overly solicitous manager of my apartment who gives off a total creepy vibe... and necessitating the lock in the first place. City Locksmith Shop is the most honest & decent Locksmith Company I have dealt with. Them work ethics are far and above what I expected. Tech was punctual and his prices were way lower than what I anticipated. On top of it all, he is a intelligent & a pleasure to talk to.
