When I first scheduled to have my lock replaced, no one came to my apt. I thought I was receiving second class treatment because I had a Groupon, but it turned out that the guy had an accident earlier that day. I spoke with Jerry and he said he would personally come to complete the job. He was really nice. My security guards were giving us a hard time and he kept a good humor about the whole situation. This is a top-notch company! When my tenant moved out, I needed to have all the locks re-keyed. Based on the great reviews I called Locksmith & Key Shop - and completely agree with all of the raves. A very polite woman took my call and information, letting me know that the locksmith would contact me shortly. Paul called me within an hour or so and I was scheduled for the next day. It was James who actually came to re-key my locks. He arrived on time, was extremely pleasant and professional, and had my locks all done within an hour! The price was reasonable, and as quoted. Hope I don't need it, but this will be my go-to locksmith!

Leave it to me to be a drunkass and lose my keys one month into moving into my new apartment after having lived in doorman buildings with extra keys for the past 8 years... Finally decided I needed to get a new lock installed, and called this place on a late Saturday afternoon. When I told him I'd like him to come "as soon as possible" he said he would be able to come the next morning since I'm on the UWS...fine with me. About an hour and a half later he called again saying that he had a recommendation for a place closer to me that could come right away if I would like, since it sounded "urgent". called Locksmith & Key Shop because my lock had become somewhat corroded... Keys were not fitting in easily. A receptionist answered the phone and promised a call back from the locksmith within a few minutes. Sure enough, 2 minutes later Paul was calling me and after explaining the issue, he suggested I save myself some money and just spray with wd40 and to call him back if that didn't work, he could have someone out by the end of the day. I'm completely embarrassed I didn't think of that myself, but I tried it and it worked like a charm. So, I have no in -person experience with them, but the honesty and promptness was greatly appreciated. This will be my go-to locksmith the next time I have a legitimate issue ;)
