Special needs education for purpose and potential socially and academically. True Knight Academy is a neuro-education program with a day school, after-school, camps, and a home-school program for children with special needs, 5-22. Students we will be accepting will be in the following categories and subject to an interview to insure we can meet the students’ needs: Autism Spectrum Disorder; communication disorder; ID; LD; ADD; ADHD; Down's Syndrome; etc. Students are grouped according to their developmental level and age. Research-based methods are incorporated into each student's curriculum. Along with academics, we provide INPP, The Listening Program, Balametrics, Interactive Metronome, Sensory Training, and Social Skills Training. PT, OT, and Speech can be available at school through personal resources.
Day camp has an academic enrichment along with our "brain" therapy program morning and a field trip every afternoon. Our students bowl, swim, go to gymnastics, and the movies. They get to visit places like NASA and the Houston Museum of Natural Science. A big favorite is a "wet" day at Moody Garden's Palm Beach, a very small contained water park perfect for our kiddos. Our teacher/student ratio depends on the camper and their personal needs. 1:1 is available. Our maximum ratio is 1:6.
