Chiropractic, Functional Neurology, Nutrition Functional Restoration vs. Traditional Chiropractic Traditional Chiropractic Traditional chiropractic has one goal—aligning the spine. This is how most chiropractors practice, and most of them do a great job. However, studies have shown us that the level of structural compromise has no correlation to the amount of dysfunction/pain the person experiences. In another words, aligning the spine is an excellent goal, but perfect alignment does NOT equal optimal function. Functional Restoration At Brain & Body Chiropractic, our focus is on Functional Restoration. Think of the human body as a car. Would you buy a car that LOOKS good, or one that actually RUNS well? If you buy a picture-perfect car, could you still experience electrical, transmission, or engine problems? Now you can spend time making the car look even better, but you would be doing so with the expectation that the problems may never be fixed. In fact, one cannot identify the underlying problem without starting the car to see how it’s running. Functional Restoration looks for the specific underlying Neuro-Structural Dysfunction in the spine and the nervous system that might be affecting your function. Get Back To Normal Rather than a one-size-fit-all approach, at Brain & Body Chiropractic, we’ve chosen to address the underlying neuro-structural dysfunction and help your spine and nervous system regain normal function. Of course, our services are not for everyone. However, if you are looking for a long-term solution that you can both feel AND see for yourself, then Brain & Body Chiropractic may be the right place for you. Once the underlying causes are addressed, then we will teach you how to keep it that way through customized recommendations designed for your spine and nervous system, so that the problem doesn’t come back.
