Fantastic Locksmith service. We needed to rekey our locks after moving. Apparently hardware stores will do this - if you bring the locks in! It was never made clear to me how that's supposed to work - one guy actually said, "Uh, maybe someone stands by the door at home." So anyway, I asked one store if they could refer a company who does onsite service. They did, and I got a quote for about $350. Portage Locksmith Service - who I found on here - was able to do it for half that. They were helpful, patient, and clear. Paul was the guy I arranged things with, and James actually did the work that day. It was simple, easy, quick, and affordable.

Another 5 star review for these guys... locked ourselves out of a friend's apartment in Portage, IN that we were staying at. Luckily with Online on my smartphone I was able to see what consistently good service these guys provide and gave them a call. Dave came along within an hour (only reason it took a while was due to the bad weather), and had us inside within 5 mins. The locks on the door seemed quite stubborn but Dave seemed quite the expert! This place is hands down the best locksmith in Portage, IN ! When the front door lock to my business totally broke, my business partner immediately said, "We're not going to use those people who leave a million business cards in our door all the time." Those people are super annoying and don't deserve our business! So we went to Online and found Portage Locksmith Service with all of their good reviews, submitted our inquiry through the website and got a call shortly after. We scheduled an appointment for the next day, and Edwardo came by to check things out. He was very honest and very helpful, and while we expected it would be hundreds of dollars (to revamp our entire lock and door system) it was only $175. We were thrilled! Then Scott came by the next day to finish everything up, he was very respectful of customers who were going in and out, and really worked fast. We are so happy with our new lock - we'd recommend them to any business! (Or residence, or whatever lock you need fixed.) They're the best in Portage, IN !

Dave from Portage Locksmith Service is an honest man in a mostly dishonest business. I asked him to help my mom out with the deadbolt on her door. He went out to Portage, IN without issue. I initially was expecting him to install a Medco lock with a new deadbolt but when he arrived he decided that all that was needed was some adjustments and he only charged us for service. He could have tricked my mom but he was honest and reliable. He actually arrived early. EARLY?!? How great is that? Dave, you are the man!!! Thank You. I will recommend your Company to anyone and everyone.

You know a business is done right when they give a reasonable time frame and actually arrive earlier than expected. Great service, very knowledgeable, positive attitude, and best of...........they came when it close to closing time on a weekday. Who would of thought Dave and his sidekick Scott (hope I got his name right) came the night I called them and the next day to replace the counterfeit lock with a great sturdy heavy duty lock he recommended!!!!!!!! It's been almost 3 months and no issues. Why cut yourself short when you can get things done right and get better quality products and service (worth it). After getting really creepy texts and voicemails from my last locksmith, I decided to get my locks changed again and a chain installed. I emailed the company at 10 at night on a Saturday and Mike responded in under 10 minutes. He gave me a 1 hour time (super awesome for not having to wait around too long) and was there right on time, which is already above and beyond. He was so helpful and professional and a joy to talk to. They offer some peace of mind, I want to pay it forward by leaving another 5-star review. Portage Locksmith Service are rad.

It wasn’t a question of what they do, but how fast they do it! I needed someone to fix the old locks in my office and called a techie from the local shop down the road!
