After a fall-out with my neighbor whom I’d once entrusted with a spare set of keys, I needed to get the locks rekeyed right away. It was the weekend and most firms in Glen Burnie, MD didn’t have technicians available. But Union Locksmith Store managed to send assistance right away, despite being extremely busy. The technician, Ed, got there within fifteen minutes and rekeyed the lock quickly. He also noticed that the door was slightly off-track and set it right for free. He was very knowledgeable, giving us an overview on what the existing lock was like, etc. He even recommended a cheaper service that what I initially called him for after looking at our lock. Service was very quick, and he left everything clean and tidied up. Didn't rush us through or seem hurried, chatted with us throughout the entire install, even recommending a couple of great pizza spots in our neighborhood. Jerry of Union Locksmith Store came by to fix our main door lock. We were cringing, expecting the word that we were going to have to replace the lock with a new one at $1,500! We had Union Locksmith Store come out to change the locks on our house. Appointment setup was a breeze. Called, and within a few minutes had our appointment booked. Our locksmith, John was professional and helpful. He not only arrived early, but gave us information on our current locks and made recommendations to us regarding security and access. Caught an advert recently on TV for a voice-activated lock and ordered it right away. I had a thing for all things tech and I just couldn’t miss out on this one! It worked fine for a week but after that, there was a considerable drop in the performance, and the troubles kept mounting up day after day. I decided to call someone to take a look at the nearly useless $200 lock. After Jones from Union Locksmith Store took a look, he confirmed my worst fear. The lock was of the worst quality and had I waited a little longer, I’d have either been locked out of my own home or would have returned to a burgled home. Jones was strictly against products advertized on telly. According to him, they are either fake or overpriced. Well, my two-hundred bucks were gone! Wish I’d received that piece of info earlier. Nevertheless, Jones got a new lock installed, a far better one at a modest price! From now on, I’m only relying on his advice for all things related to locks.
