After I’d missed the keys to the lock, I called a technician from the local hardware store. I could tell that he knew nothing about locks, and after messing with my locks for about an hour, he finally said he didn’t know how to make the key. That’s two hours of my life I’ll never get back! Frustrated, I looked for other options and found Universal Locksmith Store. Believe it or not, from the point of placing the call to the point where I received the finished key, it only took a total of 30 minutes. Instead of wasting time exploring other options, I’d recommend all in Oakland, CA to call up their number 510-789-0840 right away. You can thank me later!!!

Ok, just adding to the mountain of good reviews here... The lock on the door to my apartment was busted. So I tried to save some pennies by posting an ad on Craig's list a method that has worked really well for me to hire my cleaning lady and various handymen for simple jobs. Anyway, after sorting through like 50 replies to the ad, which quoted me prices varying form $100 to $300, I chose some guy who said that he installs locks in hotels for a living for $100 who of course turned out to not know what he was doing. He did put in a good effort, staying wiht the job for like 5 hours! But the door knob was basically hanging off the door the next day after using it twice. Anyway, a week later after calling a bunch of legit locksmiths who wanted $80 to even look at the lock, and who wouldn't commit to a firm price, I called Universal Locksmith Store who fixed the mess that was made for $80 in like a half hour.

Amazing service. Came out to Oakland, CA in less than 20 minutes. Responsive and very nice. Was able to open lock in under 5 minutes without breaking it. Professional, straightforward and not like all the other sketchy locksmiths!! Universal Locksmith Store is great.
