We hired AJP Builders in 2013 as I personally knew the owner, Jack Porat for many years. This was for a complete home renovation. We were alerted by Montgomery County they did not pull permits despite AJP assuring they did. This resulted in our house starting to sink since they did not install footers for our addition. They did not wrap our home for the new siding, resulting in us having to fully replace it due to rotten wood. We reported them to the Maryland Home Inspection Commission resulting in a verdict in our favor from multiple judges. The MHIC case number is 15-717 and I encourage you to read the case. We do not want anyone going through what we went through from dangerous and shoddy work AJP builders does. We thought our journey was over with their poor work. We were wrong. Our good friend fell through our second story deck. AJP switched the Trex we bought with a cheap composite and now we must replace the deck because it is now a hazard. Our friend is still struggling with her injuries and I feel terrible it was my decision to trust AJP builders with my home and loved one. Please do not use them and end up like us.
