Born and raised in Connecticut, Jay moved to Utah in 1985 to attend the University of Utah. .

After graduation Jay worked in restaurant management until finding his place in the mortgage lending industry in 1992. Jay has 18 successful years of financing experience with Norwest Mortgage, Wells Fargo and 10 years at Crescent Mortgage in Park City. Over the period of time spent with Norwest, and Wells Fargo Jay was awarded the Top 1% Million Dollar Producer for each of his 7 consecutive years. Working in residential mortgage loans, title, appraisal, insurance & HOA, Jay’s depth & breadth of knowledge serve both Buyers & Sellers in any situation. His empirical knowledge of the lending environment, past & present, is an invaluable asset to those clients with or without financing needs. In 2010 Jay joined his wife, Suzanne, as a licensed Realtor. Doubling the Sheridan professional experience has proved to add an even broader offering of service & insight for clients. Having been a long time passion, the real estate industry was an obvious fit for Jay. Since arriving in Park City in 1992, Jay has bought and sold over 35 local properties, managed long and short-term rentals, built three luxury homes, and remodeled countless homes and condominiums. Having had a hand in nearly every phase of property ownership and management throughout his Park City tenure, Jay has the experience needed to assist in the transition into and out of property ownership in Park City. Professional Real Estate expertise aside, Jay’s experience in lending, finance, building, remodeling, and property management make him an incredible local asset to each client and their individual property needs. When Jay’s not busy with the four women in his life - wife Suzanne and their three wonderful young daughters, he is an advocate for the Children’s Justice Centers of Summit and Wasatch Counties and a supporter of Mountain Trails Foundation. Jay is also a lover of the great outdoors as a golfer, an avid trail runner, a dedicated fly fisherman and enthusiastic mountain biker.
